Lions boss pleased despite defeat

Steve Howard's first-half winner sealed all three points for the Foxes as the Lions failed to really test on-loan debutant Tony Warner in the Leicester goal, with the keeper enjoying a quiet day on his return to his former club. Jackett said: "It was a tight game. Personally I think we can play better. Maybe too many people didn't have their usual energy. "There was no lack of application or effort because all of the players gave us everything that they had. "But to compete and go on to beat sides like Leicester, we have to be really on top of sides we are around and we didn't have enough to do that. "We made it close and competed well. We kept it open and perhaps on another day things could have broken for us but we still feel by the end we can play better than we did."
