Jackett streamlines his squad

Millwall manager Kenny Jackett has released nine more players as he looks to rebuild his squad for next season.

Chris Day, Tom Brighton, Mark Phillips, Gavin Grant, Andrew Callaghan, Ross Gaynor, Ryan James, Rhys Evans and Zoom Bakayogo have all been told they will not be handed new deals when their current contracts expire at the end of June.

"It's been a long day sorting things out," Jackett told the Lions' official website.

"We've had nine players whose contracts haven't been renewed, but it's important that we streamline the squad to make the space to bring in new faces to move this club forward next season."

Meanwhile, Neil Harris, Chris Hackett and Chris Zebroski have all been offered new contracts.
