Jackett expects Lions improvement

The Lions were on top throughout but former Lion Lenny Pidgeley, who was continually barracked by the home crowd, was largely untroubled in the Cumbrians' goal. Steve Morison and substitute David Martin hit the woodwork for the home side in the second half but defeat would have been harsh on Greg Abbott's solid and disciplined side. "We can play better than that," Jackett said. "In the second half, we never built up any pressure and weren't constructive enough with the ball when we got into dangerous positions. "It was totally different from Tuesday night when we looked very potent. On 60 minutes I changed it (to 4-4-2) with the introduction of David Martin and got into good situations and good positions but didn't capitalise in either formation."
