Injury ends Pericard's loan

Millwall have lost the services of loan striker Vincent Pericard after just two appearances due to a serious Achilles injury.

The 26-year-old only recently joined the Lions from Stoke City, but is expected to return to the Potteries for treatment on a suspected torn Achilles tendon.

Millwall boss Kenny Jackett said after the 3-1 win at Cheltenham Town: He'll be out for the rest of the season and will go back to his club. It's so heartbreaking for the lad."

"It is very frustrating for the lad because he has been a good addition to the squad," he added in the South London Press.

"We will just have to get through it. We will have a roll call on Thursday morning and see what options we have."
