Harris sets benchmark for Lions

The Lions' record scorer had poked home his first, and Millwall's second, late in the opening period, before taking over with a clinical striking master class in five second-half minutes. The veteran striker exchanged a crisp one-two with Gary Alexander, who opened the scoring, in the 68th minute and expertly guided the ball past Shwan Jalal, before going one better soon after. When Steve Morison bravely flicked on a long clearance, Harris smashed a thrilling right-foot volley which arrowed into the top corner, with Jalal helpless. "It's a good start to our home campaign. It's a nice bright start and should give us confidence, so that's a good thing," said Jackett. "We played some great football and a couple of cracking goals from Neil, no goal is a bad one, but his third was great individually and his second was a good team goal. "It was a terrific hat-trick and I'm really pleased for him to start the season like that. As a striker, confidence is important."
