Alexander wins handball appeal

Alexander was sent off by referee Phil Gibbs for deliberate handball during the Lions' 4-2 defeat to Bristol Rovers at the Memorial Stadium. But video evidence showed the ball had in fact hit Alexander's upper chest and shoulder, and an FA panel has overturned the decision. The frontman has therefore avoided a suspension and is free to line up against his former club Leyton Orient on Saturday.
