Alexander desperate to feature
The 29-year-old was taken to hospital after suffering a nasty facial injury against Colchester on Tuesday night - just a few days after fellow frontman Neil Harris broke his nose.[LNB]But Alexander has not broken his jaw and expects to be in contention when the Lions travel to the Banks's Stadium at the weekend.[LNB]"Fortunately the X-rays showed no damage to my jaw but I've had seven stitches on the outside of my mouth and the same inside because my teeth went right through my bottom lip," he said.[LNB]"I was back in hospital on Wednesday morning, and although it's a bit sore I'll hopefully be training on Thursday and desperate to play at the weekend.[LNB]"And even with the injury, I still look better than Chopper (Harris)!"[LNB][LNB]
