Woody set for Boro deal

Middlesbrough expect to complete the signing of Jonathan Woodgate from Real Madrid on Wednesday, providing he passes a medical.
The injury-prone central defender has been ordered to spend the season on loan in the Premiership in order to prove his fitness after making just 14 appearances for Madrid since his £13million move from Newcastle two years ago.
The 26-year-old discussed a possible return to the Magpies but eventually opted for his hometown club, where he is likely to fill the gap created by Gareth Southgate's promotion from defensive stalwart to manager.
Despite the imminent arrival of Woodgate, Southgate has stepped up his efforts to land Germany centre-back Robert Huth, although he faces competition from Newcastle for the Chelsea star.
The Boro boss is also close to agreeing a deal to sign Jamaica striker Jason Euell from Charlton Athletic.
