Cardiff City have entered the race for Wolves teenager Sam Vokes. The Wales international will be cleared to make a loan move away Molineux once senior strikers Sylvan Ebanks-Blake and Chris Iwelumo return from injury. And the Bluebirds boss wants the 19-year-old forward to form a potentially deadly partnership with Championship top scorer Michael Chopra. Vokes has been linked with a host of clubs - including Newcastle and Middlesbrough but Sportsmail has learned that neither north-east side has made an approach. Watford, Doncaster, Swansea, Derby, Cardiff and Coventry City have also been monitoring the situation.
