DAVID Wheater will wear the captain's armband for the first time in his Middlesbrough career this afternoon as Gareth Southgate's side look to maintain their unbeaten record at Bristol City. Wheater takes over skippering duties from Robert Huth, who completed a £5m move to Stoke City on Thursday. In Huth's absence, Jonathan Grounds will shuffle across to centre-half, with Andrew Taylor making his first Championship start of the season at left-back. Otherwise, Middlesbrough are unchanged from the XI that started last weekend's 2-0 home win over Doncaster. BRISTOL CITY (5-3-2): Gerken, Wilson, Carey, McCombe, Fontaine, McAllister; Elliott, Hartley, Skuse; Haynes, Maynard. Subs: Basso (gk), Orr, Johnson, Akinde, Sproule, Ribeiro, Blackman. MIDDLESBROUGH (4-4-2): Coyne, McMahon, Wheater, Grounds, Taylor; Yeates, Williams, Arca, Johnson; Lita, Emnes. Subs: Steele (gk), Hoyte, Aliadiere, Walker, Hines, Bennett, Franks.
