Webber considering future

Former Sheffield United striker Danny Webber is taking his time to make a decision on where his future lies after receiving a number of offers over the summer. The 27-year-old left the Blades at the end of last season, after four years at Bramall Lane, and a number of clubs, including Middlesbrough and Crystal Palace are chasing his signature. However, he told skysports.com that his destination for next season remains unclear. "I've had talks with Middlesbrough, but I have had talks with a number of clubs this summer," said Webber. "Obviously, it is a good club and the setup there is very impressive, as are the club's ambitions, but it's not a case of a deal being close or not. It's basically an option that I am considering at the moment really. "I've spoken to Neil (Warnock) and obviously I know him well from our time together at Sheffield United and I have a lot of admiration for him and how he works, but it is again just another option for me to consider at the moment." The former Manchester United trainee has a number of options available to him, with offers from England and abroad to weigh up, and he knows how important it is for him to pick the right club. "My fitness shouldn't be a problem because I'm doing my own fitness work at the moment to make sure that I am up to speed with the other guys when I join a new club," he added. "It would be nice to know where my future lies, but it is up to me to make the decision and then make sure that I settle in as quickly as possible so that I can give 100 per cent to the club in question. "That is the aim really, to make a decision quickly, but not rush it because it's important to make the right choice."
