Walker in Boro exit link

Middlesbrough are open to offers for midfielder Josh Walker, skysports.com understands. Walker, who has come through the club's youth academy, has made 11 first team appearances for Boro, including three starts in the Premier League last season, since making his debut in the 2005-06 campaign. The 20-year-old has enjoyed two successful loan spells at Bournemouth and Aberdeen in the last few seasons, including scoring against German giants Bayern Munich for the Dons last term. Walker is highly-regarded at Middlesbrough, but he has failed to establish himself in the starting XI so far this season and the versatile performer is believed to be keen on playing regular first-team football. Middlesbrough's failure to offload a number of their top stars in the wake of their relegation from the Premier League and Walker's desire to be playing regularly has led to the club considering letting him leave. If Walker does become available at the Riverside there is sure to be no shortage of admirers for the versatile midfielder.
