TUNCAY Sanli has become the second player to leave Middlesbrough for Stoke City in the space of 24 hours. Tuncay completed a £5m move to the Britannia Stadium this afternoon, less than a day after former Boro team-mate Robert Huth moved to the Potteries for an identical fee. The Turkey international arrived at the Riverside on a free transfer from Fenerbahce, and scored 18 goals in 78 appearances for the Teessiders. Stoke chief executive Tony Scholes said: "This is a fantastic transfer double for the club. "We are delighted to bring a player of Tuncay's quality to the club because he had attracted interest from a number of big clubs, as indeed had Huth. "Therefore, this is a powerful statement of our intentions as we look to move the club forward." Stoke boss Tony Pulis added: "Tuncay is an exciting player with his pace and skill who will certainly get the crowd going. He is also a player of international calibre and a leader of his national team. "Robert Huth has a great presence about him. He's a big, strong defender and the fact that he has played nearly 20 times for Germany is some recommendation in my book. He's one you know you can lean on."
