Taylor aiming for swift return to winning ways

AFTER suffering his first defeat since returning from Watford, Andrew Taylor wants Middlesbrough to get back to winning ways against Swansea City at the Riverside today.[LNB] The 24-year-old returned to Teesside after a productive loan spell at Vicarage Road in January and since then Boro have won three out of their last four games.[LNB] Last weekend's defeat to Crystal Palace was Boro's first defeat in six games, and Taylor's first since regaining his place in the Teessiders starting XI.[LNB] Boro's six-game unbeaten run pulled them six points away from the drop zone but Tony Mowbray's side face a difficult few weeks which will see them play four of the Championships top eight sides.[LNB] But Taylor believes the Teessiders are capable of putting another good run together starting against Brendan Rodgers' promotion-chasers this afternoon.[LNB] "Its always nice to win when you come back, but it was a bad result on Saturday and hopefully we can get a good result against Swansea," the defender-turned-midfielder said.[LNB] "When you stick a bit of a run together and win a few games you run up the league. [LNB] "I know from when I was at Watford we lost about five in a row and we started getting sucked back down to the bottom.[LNB] "Then we won eight games in a row and all of a sudden we were three points off second place.[LNB] "So if you can put a big run of wins together or at least be unbeaten you'll soon head up the league.[LNB] "People look at the league and say we should be beating Crystal Palace more than we should be beating Swansea but it doesn't happen in this league.[LNB] "It's a very hard league especially when we went to their place in tough conditions, the pitch wasn't great and they made it hard for us, got everyone behind the ball and unlucky for us they got the first goal and shut up shop and we found it hard to break them down.[LNB] "Hopefully on Saturday Swansea might come and have a bit more of an open game and that will give us a lot more space to punish them.[LNB] "When I was at Watford, we played them towards the start of my loan spell and I said then they were one of the best teams in the Championship just by the way they play the game.[LNB] "Their front-line is really strong but I think defensively is probably their weakest point and hopefully we can capitalise on that on Saturday."[LNB] Meanwhile, the Boro boss revealed he isn't planning on raiding the loan market just yet, but admitted if he lost anymore players to injury, he may be forced to bring cover in.[LNB] "I've consistently said that we need to get players out before we can get a few in," Mowbray said.[LNB] "If somebody goes out on loan then maybe somebody can come in, yet if the injury situation doesn't get any better over the next few weeks then the necessity is I might have to go and check the loan market."[LNB]
