Striker set for absence

Middlesbrough striker Jeremie Aliadiere will be sidelined for six weeks following an ankle operation.[LNB]The Frenchman, who has netted three goals this season, went under the knife in London on Monday after sitting out the 2-2 draw at Preston last Saturday.[LNB]Head of medical Grant Downie told the club's official website: "He had an arthroscopy and two small pieces of bone were flushed out of his ankle.[LNB]"The operation was a success and I would expect Jeremie to be available to return to training in six weeks."
