Middlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate admits bringing in another striker is his priority once other players from the club move on. Southgate has already brought Leroy Lita to the Riverside Stadium this summer but highlighted the need for another forward following the goalless draw with Sheffield United. "I think a striker with some physical presence and quality is important and we'd like to bring someone in," Southgate told the club's official website. "We caused United problems with our pace but a target man would give us a different dimension, there's no doubt. We are looking to strengthen our squad but we have to move players on first." One of those players is Afonso Alves and Southgate is in talks with a club interested in signing the Brazilian striker. "We've had a bid from a club in the Far East that didn't match our valuation but I think that could be resolved over the next week or so," Southgate added.
