// A bit of a hack but it works// The article snippet is wrapped onto a second line, even when #article-sub is emptyif( $("div#article-sub").children().length == 0 ) {$("div#article-sub").remove();} Stoke are hoping to seal deal for Robert Huth as Middlesbrough could sell at least three players before the transfer deadline shuts next week[LNB] Boro want to shed their biggest earners as they know they will struggle to meet big wages as a Championship club.[LNB]They have long been trying to find buyers for Tuncay Sanli and record signing Afonso Alves, whilst Huth also looks a likely departure.[LNB]But despite looking for sales - Boro are not sanctioning any deal they do not see as good value, which is primarily the reason they are yet to sell Alves.[LNB]Qatarian club Al Saad and Al Alhi, together with Dutch giants Ajax - have all seen bids shunned by Boro as they have not met their asking price.[LNB]It is understood that all bids remain on the table, with Al Saad emerging as the favourites at this stage to seal a deal.[LNB]Boro are yet to get a firm bid for their Player of the Year Tuncay, with Aston Villa, Sunderland, Liverpool, Stuttgart, Cologne and his former club Fenerbahce all credited with an interest this summer.[LNB]Whilst Birmingham have also emerged as possible bidders, although skysports.com understands no deal has been struck and only informal talks between agents have taken place.[LNB]One deal which appears closest to completion is Stoke's move for Huth. Tony Pulis is a big fan of German international, who has had an excellent start to the new season.[LNB]He has captained Boro to an undefeated start to their Championship campaign, which has seen them keep four clean-sheets in-a-row.[LNB]Everton and Aston Villa have also shown an interest in Huth, but skysports.com understands that Stoke are now pressing for a deal to be done.[LNB]
