St Ledger worried about future

"I looked at the manager and, with him a centre-half who had played for England, it felt the right move for me.[LNB]"It was a great opportunity to learn from one of the best centre-halves I loved to watch when I was younger.[LNB]"It makes it disappointing now and I worry because I am on loan. He had confidence in me.[LNB]"Now a new manager is coming in and I have to prove myself, as we all do."[LNB]CrowdsFalling attendances at home was the reason Gibson gave for sacking Southgate, despite Middlesbrough beating Derby 2-0 on Tuesday.[LNB]"It doesn't happen very often that the manager loses his job after a win, but the chairman has explained his reasons," St Ledger added.[LNB]"It was a major shock to all the lads. We are one point off the top and Gareth was very well liked.[LNB]"It seems tough but the chairman is the main man. Regardless of who the manager is, we go out and try to win for ourselves and the fans."[LNB]Middlesbrough take on St Ledger's parent club and promotion rivals Preston at Deepdale in the Championship on Saturday.[LNB]
