Southgate wants second look

Middlesbrough manager Gareth Southgate will ask referee Mark Halsey to take a second look at the incident that resulted in George Boateng being sent off in the closing stages of the 2-1 defeat at Tottenham. Boateng and Spurs' Didier Zokora clashed following a tackle by Aaron Lennon and a melee resulted. When order was restored, both Boateng and Zokora were sent off. Southgate said after the match: "I've seen it (the fight) on the replay. The only problem George Boateng has is that he raises his hands to protect himself, so we'll ask the referee to look at it. "We got ourselves into a position where we could have got something from the game and we switched off - it's that attention to detail which is costing us. "We worked so hard to get ourselves back into it and shot ourselves in the foot. "In terms of endeavour and commitment, they couldn't have given me any more."
