Southgate issues warning

Middlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate has warned his under-performing players to shape up or risk being shipped out in the January transfer window.
Boro's inconsistent form under the rookie manager saw them lose to struggling Watford last weekend, and Southgate has demanded an immediate improvement from his players if they wish to remain at the Riverside.
"We have eight or nine games before the transfer window opens and we've shown that we can compete with the best in the league," he said.
"There's ability there, but people are bound to question our attitude and character when we lose the games that we have.
"We've lost to all three of the promoted teams now and that tells me something. Do I need to bring new players in? We'll see.
"The players will show me whether I do or not over the next eight or nine games."
