Southgate frustrated by defeat

Middlesbrough manager Gareth Southgate admitted the last-gasp 2-1 defeat to Bristol City had come as a bitter blow after a difficult week. [LNB] Adam Johnson's 80th-minute penalty cancelled out Nicky Maynard's opener and had looked like earning Boro a draw until Maynard grabbed his second deep in stoppage time. [LNB] "As we had come back into it with a penalty, this result is very hard to take," he said. [LNB] Southgate watched Robert Huth and Sanli Tuncay leave for Stoke this week and warned there may be more departures before the transfer window closes. [LNB] He added: "We came here for a result ahead of the transfer deadline which could see players leaving. [LNB] "I've lost Robert Huth and Tuncay to Stoke City and more could be going and it doesn't look as if I'll have money to spend."
