Scott feeling great after goal
Middlesbrough striker Scott McDonald was a happy man after bringing an end to the longest barren spell of his senior career. The Australia international's strike in the 2-0 win at Scunthorpe on Tuesday night was his first of the season and his first since the Carling Cup defeat at Millwall on August 24.He told the club's official website: "It's the longest I have ever gone without a goal in my senior playing career."I haven't been too hard on myself because at times I think I have been playing quite well - although I think people can see I do get on my own back a lot."I had one thing in my mind when I got the ball. Kris Boyd laid it off nicely for me and the back four backed off, so I thought 'I'm going to hit this'."
