Nigel Reo-Coker's agent has rubbished reports linking him with a move to Middlesbrough. Reo-Coker has been linked with a move away from Villa Park following his training ground altercation with manager Martin O'Neill last month. O'Neill has insisted that the matter is over with, and that Reo-Coker - who before his falling out featured regularly for the first-team - was still in his plans. But reports have speculated that Boro could offer Reo-Coker regular first-team football - but that would mean him dropping down to the Championship. No moveHowever, his newly licensed agent Tony Finnigan has moved to strongly deny the rumours, insisting that Reo-Coker has no plans to drop down a division. "Nigel is a proven Premier League player, and he has no plans whatsoever to drop down to the Championship," Finnigan told skysports.com. "That is no disrespect to Middlesbrough, Gareth Southgate is a former team-mate of mine and I think he is a very good manager, and Boro are a great club - but they are not a Premier League club. "But to be honest, we are talking as if Nigel is on his way - let me assure you that is not the case. "I have not spoken about Nigel's future with Villa and they have not informed me that they are looking to sell him, and so Nigel - as the consummate professional he is - is battling for a first-team place at Villa until told otherwise."
