Middlesbrough captain Emanuel Pogatetz has hinted that he could leave the club if they suffer relegation this season. Boro currently lie four points from Premier League safety with eight games of the campaign remaining. And Austria international Pogatetz has intimated that he could be forced to leave the Riverside if the club are demoted to the Championship. He said in The Sun: "I'm 26-years-old and I want to continue playing at the highest level. "Should I leave in the summer, it will be for sporting reasons or to go to a club that plays in Europe or one with high ambitions. "It becomes tiring to fight relegation every season." Defender Pogatetz signed for Boro from Bayer Leverkusen in 2005 and has since emerged as a key player for the Teessiders.
