Northampton manager Ian Sampson will be without on-loan Middlesbrough defender John Johnson for the Johnstone's Paint Trophy tie at neighbours MK Dons.[LNB]The right-back picked up an ankle injury in the 2-1 FA Cup win over Fleetwood Town on Saturday and will miss out, while Sampson intends to make several changes to his side.[LNB]Striker Adebayo Akinfenwa will be rested after playing the full 90 minutes against the non-league side while teenage midfielder Michael Jacobs will be in the squad.[LNB]Courtney Herbert and Abdul Osman (both back) remain sidelined but there should be opportunities for Alex Dyer, Gary Mulligan, Billy McKay and Patrick Kanyuka.[LNB]Sampson said: "There are one or two players who we need to get up to speed and this is an ideal game for them.[LNB]"But I will be looking to win the game as always. It will be nice to be underdogs for a change and we will have to get in their faces but we have every chance of going through."
