MIDDLESBROUGH midfielder Didier Digard has completed his loan move to Nice, the Ligue 1 club has confirmed.[LNB] Digard joined Boro in a protracted £4m switch from Paris St Germain under former boss Gareth Southgate in July 2008, but injuries have limited him to just 34 appearances.[LNB] The Frenchman is currently on the sidelines once again with a back problem, but has been deemed surplus to requirements under new Boro boss Gordon Strachan and has now returned to his homeland.[LNB] Nice confirmed on their website that Digard has moved to the Nice Stade Municipal du Ray on a six-month loan deal with the French club retaining the option to buy the 23-year-old at the end of the season.[LNB] It is anticipated that, if the permanent deal goes throgh, Boro will receive the vast majority of the £4m they shelled out to sign Digard 18 months ago.[LNB] Digard becomes Nice's first winter recruit and will train with his new team-mates today.[LNB] ** READ MORE MIDDLESBROUGH NEWS IN TOMORROW'S NORTHERN ECHO **[LNB]
