Mowbray to utilise squad during busy period

Middlesbrough boss Tony Mowbray is planning to use the depth of his squad as he attempts to secure the club's npower Championship status. Boro have eased themselves clear of the drop zone in recent weeks but are not yet mathematically safe as they prepare for Saturday's trip to Sheffield United. Mowbray said: "There are a lot of games coming in a short period of time and I have got to try to utilise the squad. "We have players coming back from long-term injuries and the intensity of three games in a week is probably too much for some of them, to the point they could probably get through maybe a couple of games but then suffer a recurrence of their injuries. "Over the next three or four weeks I will try to utilise the squad. "Some players will be coming back and getting some minutes on the pitch, others will be coming off after playing and hour and hopefully the results will stay consistent and we can get positive results."
