Boss Tony Mowbray was delighted to sign of a season of rebuilding and revival with a home win as Middlesbrough wrapped up their campaign with a routine 3-0 victory over Doncaster that earned them an unlikely top-half finish. Boro took the lead with a sizzling Barry Robson free-kick just before the break and then sealed it in the second half with a Leroy Lita strike and stoppage-time goal from teenage debutant Adam Reach. As well as Reach, Mowbray gave a second-half outing to fellow teenager Cameron Park and the pair injected some pace and urgency into the game. "They are real talents who are comfortable with the ball and brave too," Mowbray said. "They don't mind trying things on the pitch because they have confidence in their ability. "They didn't look out of place on the pitch and played their roles in what was a in the end a comfortable win."
