More Boro deals to come

Middlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate officially unveiled new signing Leroy Lita, but insisted he was not finished reworking his squad for the new season. Boro kick-off their Championship campaign against Sheffield United on Friday - a game you can see live on Sky Sports 1. Southgate was pleased to get Lita, but he was also quizzed about further comings and goings. And he admitted he was 'amazed' that Tuncay Sanli remained with the club. "I am amazed he is still with us, if I am honest," Southgate told Sky Sports News. "He is a top quality player and I am delighted he is with us, but I wouldn't expect him to be with us come the beginning of September. "I am still looking to turn the squad over if I can, there are players I would like to bring to the football club and there are players who have confirmed that in an ideal world they would like to be playing their football elsewhere, so the quicker you resolve those issues the better." On Lita he added: "It is a very important signing, he is a player we have followed for a long time and someone I would have liked to have brought to club before, we weren't able to do it, but we have now. "He is experienced in this division and he has got a hunger and a point to prove." Lita is looking forward to his new challenge at Boro, after leaving Reading earlier this summer. "It is a massive challenge, it is a big club and I am just looking forward to getting on with the season," he said. "It has been frustrating but that is in the past and now I am just concentrating on Middlesbrough and scoring goals. I demand a lot from myself so nobody has to tell me, and that is what I am here to do. "Our only focus at the moment is the opening game."
