Middlesbrough v Leicester preview

28 September 2009 17:09
Middlesbrough are looking to bounce back to form as they host Leicester City on Tuesday. Boro need a win after two horrendous results, a 5-0 hammering to West Brom and a 2-2 draw at Coventry after leading 2-0. Gareth Southgate is calling on his side to get their act together and changes could be made. Justin Hoyte is struggling with a ankle injury, so Tony McMahon is on stand-by to come in. Youngster Joe Bennett came in at left-back at the weekend, but captain Emanuel Pogatez could be pushing for a recall after returning to training. Didier Digard, like Pogatetz, was not ready at the weekend - but he could be drafted in. With Caleb Folan sidelined with a hamstring injury, Leroy Lita will be hoping for a starting role. Like Boro themselves, a former Middlesbrough skipper is at the helm for Leicester with Nigel Pearson in charge. Pearson guided Leicester to promotion last season and The Foxes have adapted well to life in the Championship and currently sit in tenth. City, though, are looking to bounce back to form after defeat to Preston last time out. Leicester have no fresh injury worries but he could make changes. In midfield Nicky Adams and Andy King are pushing for places, whilst Lloyd Dyer, Martyn Waghorn and Yann Kermorgant could all be options in attack.
