Gordon Strachan must wish he had stayed on Route 66 because it looks like he has turned down a cul-de-sac at Middlesbrough.[LNB]Strachan's three-month reign has been more akin to the road to hell than the life-affirming trip across the United States undertaken by the Scot before his return to management on Teesside.[LNB]Chairman Steve Gibson sacked Strachan's predecessor, Gareth Southgate, when Boro were fourth, a point off the top of the Championship, citing falling attendances as a major factor.[LNB] Road to hell: Strachan has failed to inspire Boro during his three month reign[LNB]Given that kind of knee-jerk reaction, Strachan must wonder how much time he has left. [LNB] Fed-up: Boro keeper Danny Coyne is left frustrated after conceding the first[LNB]He said: 'Gordon will definitely turn it around. He knows what it takes, coming from a massive club like he has.'[LNB]  Flood's second-half cross-shot embarrassed visiting keeper Dorus de Vries from 40 yards and Flood said: 'I can't take any credit. I shanked the life out of it.'[LNB]The Irishman's fluke cancelled out Gorka Pintado's second goal in a week and manager Paulo Sousa, who has transformed Swansea's fortunes, said: 'The players are giving me everything and we're heading in the right direction.'[LNB]  Fans turning on Gordon Strachan as Boro slump to new low Going nowhere: Strachan expects Johnson to stay at MiddlesbroughChampionship round-up: Tudgay lifts Wednesday while Watford fall at Blackpool [LNB]
