Liverpool-bound Jones left out by Boro

BRAD JONES'S future at Middlesbrough has taken a further twist tonight after he he was left out by manager Gordon Strachan at Chesterfield.[LNB] Strachan had suggested that he would be standing by Jones, whose future remains up in the air amid interest from Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson.[LNB] But, despite being included in a squad that travelled to the b2net Stadium for tonight's Carling Cup tie, Jason Steele starts and Danny Coyne is the substitute goalkeeper.[LNB] Liverpool have already had an offer of around £2m rejected for Jones, who has signalled his intention to move to Anfield already.[LNB] Strachan has also handed Josh Walker a start in the middle of midfield in the absence of eight injured players and five on international duty.[LNB] CHESTERFIELD (4-4-2): Lee; Hunt, Page, Breckin, Ford; Griffiths, Whitaker, Allott, Mattis; Talbot, Lester.
