Kids all right for Southgate

Middlesbrough boss Gareth Southgate will not lose faith in his youngsters as he attempts to mount a promotion charge.[LNB]Boro ensured they go into the clash with leaders West Brom trailing them by just a point by winning 3-1 at Sheffield Wednesday in midweek with six homegrown players in the starting line-up.[LNB]Southgate will have loan signings Sean St Ledger and Caleb Folan at his disposal, but will continue to give his Academy graduates a chance.[LNB]He said: "Whether our guys are any better than other teams, I don't know, but players here get an opportunity and sometimes in life you need that opportunity.[LNB]"There's lots of talent around, but maybe it doesn't break through at other clubs.[LNB]"We have been prepared to take a long-term view on giving youngsters their chance and this season, at the moment, we are reaping some rewards because of that."
