Highly-rated goalkeeper Carlos Kameni has admitted he might not leave Espanyol during the transfer window. The Cameroon international has been linked with a summer move to England after another impressive season in the Primera Division. Newcastle and Middlesbrough, who are both struggling to avoid relegation from the Premier League, are understood to be interested in the 25-year-old. Kameni recently stated that the prospect of embarking on a new challenge in England did appeal to him. However, he has now stressed that he could remain at Espanyol and sign an extension to his current contract, which runs out in June. "Once the season ends we will see what happens," Kameni told AS. "However, I can assure you I leave the door open on staying at this club as well."
