Juninho set for Boro role
Published : 08 Apr 2009 16:32:52

Juninho is believed to be in talks with Middlesbrough about becoming their South American representative. The diminutive Brazilian is regarded as one of the most popular players in their history after three different spells at The Riverside, playing in over 150 games. The World Cup winner was also part of the Boro side which lifted the Carling Cup in 2004. The 36-year-old retired from football last season after a spell in Australia with Sydney FC. He is now working on various projects and the Brazilian press are reporting that he is set to take on the role as Boro's representative in South America. It is claimed that Juninho, whose role will incorporate that of a scout, will begin working with Boro again next year.
