Brad Jones is looking for his first start of the season for Middlesbrough this weekend. The Australian international is yet to play this season after he damaged his ankle on the eve of the new season. Boro were well covered as they signed experienced shot-stopper Danny Coyne, and the 36-year-old has impressed for Gareth Southgate's side. But just as Jones is fully fit again, Coyne is now struggling with a back injury. "This week Gareth has to a big decision," said Boro goalkeeping coach Stephen Pears. "Brad's in full training now and he's ready to play. "It's a long week leading up to the game so we'll see how things go with his injury. "Danny has also had a problem with his back for a few days so we'll just see how both of them get on and make that decision on Friday." Meanwhile, midfielder Mohamed Shawky has reiterated his desire to leave the club. Shawky claims that he almost left the club in the summer, but he will now wait until January. "I received several offers from European clubs, but the summer transfer window is now closed," he told the website of his former club Al Ahli. "I'll probably accept one of those bids in the winter."
