Johnson eyes Boro miracle

Middlesbrough winger Adam Johnson admits the club need a minor miracle to stay up. The England Under-21 winger, who has again turned down the club's offer of a new contract, is set to start at West Ham on Sunday. Johnson refuses to be drawn on his own future as he gears up to the vital Hammers game. Boro need to win at Upton Park and hope Newcastle and Hull both lose, while they also have to overturn the Tigers' five-goal advantage in goal difference. "We've got to go West Ham with no fear like we did in the FA Cup game earlier this year," he said. "We came away with a good result but I think we should have been two or three up at half-time. "So hopefully we can go there, put on the same type of performance and convert some chances. "We know it's a huge uphill task now, but as long as we've still got that chance we'll keep fighting. "It's just such a shame, if we had got that win on Saturday (against Aston Villa) things would be looking extremely good for us. "A lot of things have gone wrong this season but we cannot just sit back and dwell on them. There is a game to win on Sunday and we must make sure we do our jobs. "We can't go into the game worrying about other results."
