Injury ends Pogatetz season

Middlesbrough captain Emanuel Pogatetz has been ruled out for the remainder of the season after failing to recover from a knee injury.
Pogatetz has been out of action since the beginning of April and has now been told that the injury requires surgery which will rule him out of Boro's three remaining games this season.
The Austria defender made 33 appearances for the struggling Teessiders in all competitions this year.
"I think Emanuel will be out for the season now and that's been a blow for us," revealed manager Gareth Southgate.
"He's had a problem with his knee and we've tried to use rest as a form of recovery.
"It's likely that he will need an operation. We've put that off as long as we could, we've tried every other course of action but, unfortunately, it looks as if an operation is required."
