Huth handed recall

Germany have handed a recall to Middlesbrough defender Robert Huth for their end of season tour of Asia. Huth has not been included in a German squad since the 2006 World Cup. He has been dogged by injuries in recent years but he finally looks back to full fitness with Boro and he has been rewarded with a recall by coach Joachim Low. "I had never written Robert off since he has always performed well in the tournaments he has played with us," said Low. "He has also impressed in the Premier League this season so we are happy to have him back in the squad." Huth is among a number fresh faces called up by Low ahead of the games against China and United Arab Emirates. Schalke goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, Wolfsburg midfielder Christian Genter, Stuttgart defender Christian Trash and Brazilian-born striker Cacau have all got the nod.
