Huth could return home

Middlesbrough defender Robert Huth has admitted that he would welcome a return to his homeland in the summer. The Germany international is one of a number of players expected to depart the Riverside following Boro's relegation to the Championship. Hannover have already admitted they would be interested in securing his services with Borussia Monchengladbach now linked to the centre-back. And Huth, who moved to Teesside from Chelsea in a £6million deal in August 2006, would not be against heading back to the continent. He told the German media: "I can imagine myself returning to the Bundesliga to play." Huth admitted Gareth Southgate's side could have no complaints at losing their top-flight status, particularly after such a pitiful return from their strikers. He added: "We were not strong enough in the league, only 28 goals in 38 games - that says everything."
