    Hoyte eyes Gunners impact

    11 Dec 2008 - 12:35:04

Middlesbrough defender Justin Hoyte is aiming to prove a point to Arsenal when he faces his former club on Saturday.

The 24-year-old came through the ranks with the Gunners, but swapped the Emirates Stadium for the Riverside in a £3milion deal last summer in search of more regular first-team football.

"All the coaches there I am indebted to. They are the ones who pushed me and have got me to where I am now and I think Middlesbrough can push me even further," he told the club's official website.

"It's a great opportunity for me. Obviously I'm playing against my old team which is fantastic and I'm really looking forward to it, but the most important thing is for us to perform well and come away with all three points.

"That would mean more to me than anything and I think we have the ability to cause an upset.

"I'm in touch with a few of the lads and we've be having a bit of banter in the lead up to the game, but come 3pm my mind will be 100 per cent focussed on helping Boro get all three points."
