Leroy Lita has completed his move to Middlesbrough on a free transfer. The 24-year-old was released by Reading last season after scoring 20 goalsin 77 appearances. Lita could feature for Boro in the new season's opening match on Friday night, when Sheffield United are the visitors to the Riverside. The striker nearly moved to the Sheffield club last week, but failed to agree terms. Elsewhere Besiktas are one of several clubs showing an interest in Boro midfielder Gary O'Neil but the player has been homesick for Portsmouth and is unlikely to want a move to Turkey.
