Emnes accepts charge

Middlesbrough boss Tony Mowbray will be without striker Marvin Emnes for the next two games after he admitted a charge of violent conduct. The 22-year-old Dutchman had until 6pm last night to respond to the Football Association charge, which related to an incident in Saturday's 2-1 win at Sheffield United. Emnes decided to accept his fate and having travelled with the rest of the squad for Tuesday's 3-3 draw at Ipswich, sat out the first leg of his three-match ban. He will also miss Barnsley's visit to the Riverside Stadium on Saturday and the trip to Burnley three days later. Mowbray was dealt a further blow when defender Seb Hines broke his jaw in two places.
