Middlesbrough winger Stewart Downing says he has no problems facing Tottenham Hotspur, the club who tried to sign him in the January transfer window.
The 24-year-old had seemed certain to join Spurs, before Boro stepped in to put an end to the deal and keep hold of Downing for the relegation dogfight.
Ahead of the meeting of the two sides at White Hart Lane, Downing told the Evening Gazette: "I've got no problems with the match. Their offer was turned down and I couldn't go, so there was no problem.
"We're playing Tottenham and we have to win. It's no different from any other team and I'll just treat it the same as any other game.
"I'll be trying to win because we need the points and so do they, so it will be a tough game.
"I'm here until the end of the season and I'm totally committed to doing my job."
