Going home? Middlesbrough's Didier Digard[LNB]Middlesbrough's Didier Digard could be on his way back to France after Nice confirmed their interest in signing the midfielder.[LNB]Digard joined Boro in a £4million switch from Paris St Germain underformer boss Gareth Southgate in July 2008, but injuries have limitedhim to just 34 appearances for the club.[LNB]He is currently on the sidelines once again with a back problem, but appears tobe surplus to requirements under new Riverside manager Gordon Strachan.[LNB]But Nice are prepared to offer Digard a way out and would like to perhaps take him on loan with a view to making it a permanent deal at a later date.[LNB]Nice director general Patrick Governatori said: 'We have to recruit two players, a central defender and a midfielder.[LNB]'We are working on two or three cases among which are those of Didier Digard and [Argentinian club San Lorenzo's] Renato Civelli. There are others too.[LNB]'We hope to conclude everything shortly. This could be done this week. Digard is expensive, but you have to deal with that. We are discussing it. I think in any case that it will be two loans with an option to purchase.'[LNB] Middlesbrough 0 Man City 1: Roberto Mancini has given new City a defence Middlesbrough extend Marcus Bent's stay with Gordon Strachan set to seal Celtic's Gary Caldwell and Barry Robson Snow joke: Julio Arca braced for the elements as Middlesbrough battle for seasonal cheer Middlesbrough set to swoop for Celtic defender Gary Caldwell in January transfer window[LNB] [LNB]
