SCOTTISH winger Andy Halliday has agreed a three-year contract to join Middlesbrough.[LNB] The 18-year-old who scored 16 goals in 23 starts for Scottish Third Division champions Livingston relishes the prospect breaking into Gordon Strachan's side.[LNB] I'm really excited about joining Middlesbrough and delighted that the contract is now all sorted, said Halliday, who can operate on the left flank or as an additional attacker.[LNB] This is a club that has produced so many good youngsters over the years and I just hope I can do well for them. It helps that there is already a big Scottish contingent at the club and I know I am going to feel at home straight away.[LNB] I came here for a training week earlier in the season so I was able to see the set-up at first hand. It also gave me the chance to meet the players, so I have a bit of a head start in that respect.[LNB] The training ground is just fantastic. It's different class. I came down and stayed at the Rockliffe hotel, where the facilities and food are out of this world. I made up my mind then that I would like to come here.[LNB] Halliday joins Boro for an undisclosed fee.[LNB]
