Coventry defender Elliott Ward believes he does not have a future at the club.

The defender has been sidelined for four weeks following minor knee surgery and was hoping to force his way into the side for this weekend's clash with Middlesbrough after a return to fitness. But the 24-year-old admitted he could leave the club as soon as the January transfer window, and that he doesn't see himself staying at the Rioch Arena past the summer. He told the Coventry Telegraph: "If I play a few, which I want to and need to, then January could be an option but if I am not playing then people soon forget you and it will be a case of leaving at the end of the season. "That's what I expect anyway, to see out the rest of the year and then leave. But until then I want to be playing and my aim is to push back into the team. "Things do change in football so who knows what will happen but I believe it is set in stone at the moment."
