Clough dismisses Hulse talk

Nigel Clough has played down fresh reports linking Rob Hulse with a move away from Derby. Middlesbrough were interested in signing the striker on deadline day but a transfer failed to materialise as Derby issued a statement declaring he would not be going anywhere. Hulse later explained that 'something just didn't seem right about moving' and expressed his delight at staying with the Rams. The speculation has nevertheless resurfaced and there have been suggestions that Hulse could join Boro on loan with a view to a permanent switch in January. But Clough has rejected the rumours, telling the Derby Telegraph: "I don't see that - how would it benefit us? "Our policy has always been that if we get a big offer of significant value for a player then we will look at it. "So I don't see how letting Rob out on loan would benefit us."
