[LNB]Reading desperately needed to halt their recent slump, and ease the pressure on boss Brendan Rodgers, and they did just that as they saw off Coventry 3-1 at the Ricoh Arena.[LNB]Ipswich remain bottom of the table, but they are now level on points with faltering Peterborough after David Wright handed them a priceless 1-0 win against out of sorts Derby.[LNB]Peterborough are in deep trouble towards the foot of the table after Barnsley recovered from going a goal down to claim a 2-1 success at London Road.[LNB]Swansea continue to make impressive progress up the rankings, with goals from Craig Beattie and Cedric van der Gun enough to see off Scunthorpe in their latest outing.[LNB]Strachan's first game in charge of Middlesbrough failed to capture the imagination of the locals as Boro slipped to a 1-0 defeat against lowly Plymouth at the Riverside Stadium.[LNB]Adam Johnson missed from the penalty spot on a dismal afternoon for the hosts, who slip out of the play-off places.[LNB]
