Boro told to take chances

Middlesbrough manager Gordon Strachan has urged his side to try and take their chances, following a 1-1 draw at home to Swansea City at the weekend.

Boro have won just twice in 13 games since Strachan's arrival and the Scots is eager to improve on that record.

He commented: "We did enough to win the game, just as we did enough not to get beaten at Sheffield United last week.

"But that's been our story. Between the two boxes we are not too bad, we work very hard. But it's in the two 18-yard boxes where games are decided.

"We have to work hard because we don't take the chances when they come along.

"That hard work resulted in Swansea only having a couple of shots on target. Unfortunately one of them goes in and we have to work even harder to get back into the game."
